What We Do
During FY 2014-15, the Rotary Club of Ardmore:

  • Supported the Jefferson Elementary School Christmas Gifts for Kids program to purchase books, toys & winter clothing for all students in the school.
  • Awarded two college scholarships, one to an Ardmore student and one to a Plainview student.
  • Served lunch at Communities in Schools, which is a summer program for underprivileged kids.
  • Sent one camper to RYLA Camp.  (In previous years we have sent 4-7 kids at a time. RYLA is a youth leadership camp at the Goddard Youth Camp.)
  • Recognized two outstanding seniors each month from Ardmore High School and two from Plainview High School.
  • Paid membership dues to support the Ardmore Chamber of Commerce.
  • Contributed to the Rotary District and to Rotary International to help them carry out their programs.
  • Helped support Dornick Hills Country Club by holding our luncheons there every week.
  • Contributed to the Rotary International Foundation.
  • Contributed Ardmore’s Barbara Bush Literacy program.
  • Contributed to SEOSU’s Rotaract Club.
  • Contributed to the Nepal disaster through the Rotaract Club at East Central.
  • Rang the bell for the Salvation Army during the Christmas season. (We are always one of the top groups in raising money due to many of our bell ringers contributing to Salvation Army on that day.)
  • In previous years we have sponsored a GSE team of Rotarians from other countries who are touring the U.S. to visit southern Oklahoma.
  • And, last but not least, we host interesting speakers each week who give presentations that inform and enrich our members about the many events, programs, services, and organizations in this area and around the state.
